Govt restates commitmentBy Times ReporterVICE-PRESIDENT George Kunda yesterday said Government would ensure there is speedy development across the country without any form of discrimination against areas considered to be opposition strongholds.Mr Kunda said Government had been providing development to all areas of the country and cited Southern Province which he said received a larger share of development initiatives but was under the opposition. The vice-president said this during a question and answer session in parliament yesterday when he responded to a question by Mazabuka MP Gerry Nkombo who wanted to know what the vice-president meant when told a public rally in Luena that people should vote for the government in power to benefit from development.Mr Kunda said he merely was underscoring the need for the electorate to vote for the ruling party for easy provision of development. The vice-president also said the voters registration exercise was on-going and would be evaluated in December for the possibility of an extension should the need arise.Mr Kunda urged MPs to start sensitising their voters in the constituencies about the on-going registration exercise.
